How To Watch & Attend Scarlet-White Game - On The Banks

The 18 month wait for the first Scarlet-White game in head coach Greg Schiano’s second tenure at Rutgers is almost over. Kickoff at SHI Stadium is set for Thursday, May 20 at 7 p.m. ET and the game will air love on the Big Ten Network. Chris Carlin and Eric LeGrand will call the action with Krystle Rich reporting from the sideline.

A maximum of 5,000 fans can attend the Scarlet-White game and there are still tickets available as of Tuesday afternoon. For information on all of the policies and procedures for attending, click here. There is no tailgating permitted and the parking lot opens at 6 p.m.

After a 3-6 campaign last fall, there is hope that next season will be another step forward for Rutgers in Schiano’s second season. Almost all the starters on both sides of the ball return and the spring game provides a chance for fans to see the team in action before training camp begins in August. It’s also an opportunity for media to see this team for the first time all spring after COVID-19 protocols only allowed for weekly video conferences.

We will have a preview leading up to Thursday’s Scarlet-White game, as well as postgame analysis and reactions from Schiano and the players.

Schiano announced earlier this month that the Spring Awards that were given out annually before abruptly ending during the Chris Ash era have returned. It’s possible he will announce the honorees in the postgame.

In addition to the Scarlet-White game, BTN will air multiple past Rutgers football games in a condensed version throughout Thursday. The lineup includes all three Big Ten wins from last fall and the full schedules is as follows:

2 p.m. Rutgers vs. Navy (Oct. 15, 2011)

3 p.m. Rutgers vs. Syracuse (Nov. 25, 2006)

4 p.m. Rutgers at Michigan State (Oct. 24, 2020)
