The Phoenix Suns were expected to win this one, and they are just one quarter away from fulfilling that expectation. After three quarters it's looking more and more like their high-powered offense is just too much for the San Antonio Spurs as the Suns lead 81-70.

Power forward Jae Crowder has led the way so far for Phoenix, as he has 16 points along with six boards. Crowder is close to surpassing his season high of 17.

San Antonio hasn't had any offensive standouts so far with all players held to 12 points or fewer.

The Spurs will be strutting in after a victory while Phoenix will be stumbling in from a loss.

Shooting guard Derrick White and point guard Dejounte Murray were among the main playmakers for San Antonio as the former had 25 points and the latter dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds along with seven dimes.

Meanwhile, the Suns' and the Warriors' matchup this past Friday was up for grabs at halftime, but Phoenix was thoroughly outmatched 67-48 in the second half. Phoenix found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unfortunate 118-96 punch to the gut against Golden State. Point guard Cameron Payne just could not get things rolling his way, finishing with only seven points on 3-for-17 shooting in his 25 minutes on the court.

The Spurs are expected to lose this next one by 7.5. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a four-game streak of ATS wins.

San Antonio's win brought them up to 8-13 while Phoenix's defeat pulled them down to 19-4. San Antonio is 3-4 after wins this year, and Phoenix is 2-1 after losses.
