Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham softball team (5-3) concludes a length homestand with six contests this week against three opponents. First up is Seton Hall (4-7) on Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. The Rams will then welcome Army (2-3) back to the Bronx for two games on Friday, starting at 2 p.m., then host Maine (1-3) for three games on Saturday, a doubleheader beginning at noon, and Sunday, an 11 a.m. start for the series finale.
Last Time Out
The Rams swept Sacred Heart in a doubleheader on Saturday by a combined 12-5 score, never trailing in either contest. Read all about the day here.
Series History vs. Seton Hall
Fordham will be looking to avenge a 12-6 road loss two weeks ago to the Pirates that evened the all-time series at 15-15 and snapped a four-game win streak. The Rams have dominated the series in recent years, winning 13 of 16 contests prior to this season dating back to 2004. Read about this season's first match-up here.
Series History vs. Army
The Rams' season-opening 5-4 walk-off win over the Black Knights was their fifth all-time. Army owns a 21-5 advantage since 1987. That was the first meeting since 2014 and second in the past 15 years.
Series History vs. Maine
The Black Bears are 3-1 all-time against the Rams but the two schools have met just once in the past 19 years, a Fordham 4-0 win on neutral ground. This will be the first contest on either campus in the series.
Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll
The Rams were picked to finish second in the annual preseason head coaches poll, just one point behind George Washington despite garnering one more first-place vote. The two schools were set to meet in the Championship final in 2019 but due to a rain out, the higher seed, Fordham, moved on to NCAA Regionals despite a share of the championship. It was the Rams' seventh straight league title, eighth overall, and ninth trip to Regionals.
