Oklahoma vs. Texas score: Live game updates, college football scores, Red River Rivalry, NCAA coverage - CBSSports.com

The annual Red River Showdown in the Cotton Bowl between No. 22 Texas and Oklahoma has a must-win undertone for both teams as neither the Longhorns nor the Sooners can afford to get too far behind in the race for the Big 12 Championship Game. After three quarters, Oklahoma carries a 31-17 lead.

Sooners quarterback Spencer Rattler started the third quarter after being benched in the first half following two turnovers. He's responded well, leading a pair of scoring drives while playing with far more control. Oklahoma has also done a nice job establishing a run game that had been lacking in recent weeks. TJ Pledger and Marcus Major have been finding success with 130 yards combined and three touchdowns. This has been a sloppy game with each turning the ball over and committing penalties. Texas in particular has been hurt by unforced errors and some personal foul penalties. That's a big reason why the Horns are behind heading into the final 15 minutes.
