No. 3 Georgia has a 30-21 lead on No. 14 Tennessee after three quarters in Athens, but the game has been closer than the score suggests. Tennessee had a 21-17 lead on Georgia at halftime, but then Jarrett Guarantano became turnover-happy in the third quarter, coughing the ball up on each of Tennessee's first two possessions. The defense held Georgia to two field goals, but the Bulldogs offense broke through late in the quarter.
Stetson Bennett, who had looked pretty mediocre for the first 40 minutes of action, put together his most impressive effort. He hit a couple of crucial throws to extend the drive, then after a couple of penalties backed Georgia's offense up, he hit Kearis Jackson deep over the middle for a 21-yard touchdown.
Tennessee starts the final quarter down two scores and with the ball, but it has managed only 14 total yards in the second half so far. The Vols will need to pick it up offensively in the final 15 minutes if they want to pull off an upset.
