Lost Your Marbles Thinking About Upcoming Ray Traced And DLSS Games? - PC Perspective

Well, There Is Good News And Bad News

Along with the arrival of NVIDIA’s RTX 30 series comes a list of games which will support DLSS and ray tracing, the second of which is also of interest to those intending to pick up a Navi card from AMD when they arrive.  A fair number of upcoming games will support both, such as Cyberpunk 2077, Watch Dogs: Legion, Atomic Heart and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.  In addition  a number of released games are planned to be updated to support one or both technologies.

That is great news for gamers, especially considering the quality we saw in the Cyberpunk preview during the NVIDIA announcement yesterday.  The new games will be designed with ray tracing and DLSS from the beginning, which should help ensure that they actually do offer support for these features at launch.  This brings us to the bad news, which is the list of games already available that will be updated to add ray tracing and DLSS.

As an old friend pointed out, the list given to Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN is hopeful at best.  Of the entire list only Control has been properly updated at this point with the rest delayed or even cancelled.  There are a number of unknowns such as PUBG so don’t lose all hope, but so far the track record of adding ray tracing and DLSS after launch is not great.
