Dell Announces New Gaming PCs, Teases XPS - Thurrott.com - Thurrott.com

Dell today unveiled its G7 gaming laptop and G5 gaming desktop PC, and it provided a first peek at a new XPS desktop that’s coming in July.

“The Dell G Series is a product ecosystem designed for gamers at every level,” Dell’s Matt McGowan writes in the announcement post. “With its myriad of form factors, colors and configurations, the G Series stands out as one of the broadest selections of gaming systems Dell has ever offered. Its appeal parallels the strong growth of the PC gaming industry and the big tent of gamers it welcomes. What’s consistent across the G Series ecosystem is the upscale design, performance muscle and great value – ultimately delivering the best gaming experiences without a significant investment.”

The G7 gaming laptop is available with 15.6- and 17-inch displays with thin exterior bezels, 10th-generation Intel Core processors up to i9, up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q Design (15.6-inch) or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super (17-inch) graphics, a precision glass touchpad, a 4-zone RGB keyboard with a discrete “Game Shift” macro key for dynamic performance, and Nahimic 3D Audio. The G7 17 will be available on June 23 starting at $1,429.99, while the G7 15 ships on June 29 starting at $1,429.99, Dell says.

The G5 compact desktop also provides 10th-generation Intel Core CPUs, VR-capable NVIDIA GeForce GTX/RTX or AMD Radeon RX 5600 graphics cards, four thermal mode options, tool-less entry, and full RGB LED lighting with an optional clear window side panel. It will be available from July 9 starting at $699.99.

Finally, Dell is also teasing the design of its next-generation XPS desktop, which it will formally announce in July.

“The new XPS Desktop [has] a modern minimalistic design,” McGowan says. “Joining the XPS 17 laptop as the latest addition to NVIDIA’s RTX Studio program, this desktop provides massive performance for powering creation, gaming and VR.”
