Oswego wasn't putting their heads down, either, but the last drive was a little tough to stomach for defensive tackle Jack Hugunin, an NIU recruit.
"They definitely stayed away from me the whole time; they did everything in their power to run away from me," Hugunin said. "We expected them to do it, we game-planned against it, but the push they had, they got us."
Oswego senior wide receiver Jack Lemke was spectacular in defeat, with 192 yards of total offense.
He caught a 53-yard TD pass from Cole Pradel (11-for-17, 145 yards, two interceptions) for the game's first score, with 4:21 left in the first quarter.
Lemke, later, gave Oswego its last lead. A play after Joey DeMarco knocked away a Lehr fourth-down pass in the end zone, Lemke took a jet sweep and outraced two Minooka defenders for an 84-yard TD and 21-14 lead with 3:10 left in the third quarter.
"I saw the hole, I took it, I turned on the jets," Lemke said, "and I told myself they couldn't catch me."
