Game of Thrones' Battle of Winterfell episode cut one significant scene - DigitalSpy.com

Game of Thrones' Battle of Winterfell saw numerous heroics from the army of the living, but two characters' big moment against the dead looks like it was cut from the final version.

Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) spent much of 'The Long Night' hiding in the crypt alongside everybody else who was unable to fight.

Later on, the Night King resurrects the dead. Unfortunately, that includes all of the corpses in the crypt.

Sansa and Tyrion were seen hiding as several survivors got slaughtered. But Sansa pulling out the weapon that her sister Arya gave her earlier in the episode, in addition to the look that she and Tyrion exchanged, implied that they were prepared to go down fighting.

It turns out that the show did film at least one scene where Sansa and Tyrion take down some wights.

In a behind-the-scenes video on Game of Thrones' official YouTube channel, Turner and Dinklage filmed their characters sneaking up behind two wights and taking them out.

"The whole action was really fun because I never get to do any action," Turner said.

Arya was the hero who saved the day, vanquishing the Night King with her Valyrian steel dagger in the episode's climax.

Elsewhere, a number of viewers took issue with the low lighting in the episode, saying that it was difficult to see what was happening on screen.
