PUBG UPDATE
The official PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds website has now responded to today's server problems telling fans online:
"Investigating: Some players are having problems connecting to servers. We are looking into it and it should be resolved soon."

ORIGINAL STORY
PUBG, otherwise known as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is experiencing connection issues this afternoon with a majority of the games PC player base unable to connect to the online survival game.
The game appears to be experiencing intermittent server connectivity problems since 2.20PM, according to Down Detector.
The independent website DownDetector tracks social comments around outages and logged initially over 400 reports from users experiencing issues with the game and it appears to be rising.
The issue is mainly affecting users in the UK with some small sections of America and Australia also impacted, according to the independent website.
There is currently no word on the outage from the games official Twitter account, who have yet to confirm anything online. confirmed the problems, telling fans:
An announcement can't be that far behind though, as the game is one of the better services out there who are excellent with communicating with fans when problems occur.

Clearly, though, fans are unhappy, with many venting on Twitter.
One such player commented: "@PUBATTLEGROUNDS @PUBATTLEGROUNDS My game keeps saying connection closed, is it the servers or my end? PLEASE HELP"
While another clearly frustrated fan of the game also said: "@PUBG_help Hi... Servers are unreachable again ("connection closed" for abou 15 minutes now)
The news comes in the same week that the games Creative Director did an AMA on Reddit.
During the various questions he answered he also revealed a brand new vehicle coming to the game, which you can see in the below Tweet.
For anyone who doesn't know, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is essentially a battle royale game (think Hunger Games if you don't know what Battle Royale is).
It starts with 100 players parachuting from a plane onto a large island, where they then search for weapons and gear before a brutal fight to the death as surviving players edge closer to the centre of the island.
Last man standing wins. And as you might suspect, it's by no means easy. But is great fun.
But less so, clearly, when it's not working. So lets hope it's fixed soon.
